Etnies gives 2,000 pairs of shoes to homeless

27. dubna 2011 v 3:59

Pierre-André Senizergues, founder and CEO of Etnies,Instead of more common Louis Vuitton shoes operating systems the iPad adopts the same operating system as the iPhone an actions sports manufacturer, this Easter weekend donated 2,000 pairs of shoes to homeless at the Los Angeles Mission.

"Etnies congratulates the Los Angeles Mission on 75 years of helping get the homeless of the street and back on their feet," Senizergues, former world champion pro skateboarder and owner of Etnies, said while on Skid Row handing out shoes. "We're celebrating our 25-year anniversary this year, too, and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than to serve the homeless together with hundreds of volunteers today. Our hope is that these new shoes become a symbol for those who receive them - it just takes one step forward to make a change."

After moving to the United States from France to pursue his dream of professional skateboarding, Senizergues was homeless for a time and lived out of his van. Now that he is in a position to help, he likes to give back and help the homeless get off the streets and back on their feet.

On Friday, the Los Angeles Mission began its 75th year of service to the homeless of Skid Row with one of the largest street events in its history. Thousands of homeless men, women and children crowded onto closed downtown streets for the Good Friday event. They left with new shoes and Easter baskets, their feet were washed by volunteers, and their meals served by civic leaders and well-known entertainment figures. This is the 13th year that Etnies has provided shoes to the homeless around Easter, with the total now 32,000 pairs.Save on asics shoes and apparel at the world's largest running store.Karen Millen are highly sought after and you are indeed lucky if you can have one sitting in your closet
