Skechers' Shape-ups sneakers are advertised to tone your legs and backside and they're now being made for young girls. They start at size two and some parents say they send the wrong message. But ethics aside, they could be bad for your tween's feet.
The shoes have sparkle and glitz that young girls love. But many parents think the ad - running on the Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon - is sending the wrong message.
"I kind of think it's saying to kids you know you have to have a fit bottom and fit legs at such a young age and that's the wrong message," said mom Tamra Mulkey.More mysteries and new treasure will be discovered in discount mens shoes, and a fantasy world will be presented with you.
Her daughter Madison turns 12 in October and Tamra says she's thankful that she does want a pair of Shape-ups.
"I don't' think they look good on or help you," Madison said.

If not, they say, the child runs the risk of getting an injury.

Fitness trainer Scott Cole says Shape-ups are popular for women who walk, but he doesn't recommend them for active kids because they are not stable.
