People are finding a way to get more value out of something they use every day -- their shoes.
"Why throw them out if they can be repaired?," said Emily Smith, who said she doesn't believe in throwing away a decent pair of shoes.
"I think it's dumb myself, wasting money. Shoes are expensive."
At Joe Blanc's shoe repair shop in Arlington,Karen Millen are highly sought after and you are indeed lucky if you can have one sitting in your closet customers like Smith are becoming a constant since the economy tumbled.
Whether it's replacing soles or heels, he's staying busy.
"My shelves are completely full and I'm so behind that I'm going to have to stay over today," said Blanc.
