The school and its associated parish went in to fund-raising overdrive to support those effected by the devastating floods, making contact with Sacred Heart school in Booval, not far from Ipswitch.
St Michael's assistant principal Angie Sinclair, said many of the Queensland school's students had lost everything including school uniforms and shoes.
"We did a shoe drive because it was something that we could offer and a cost that many parents wouldn't need at the moment," Ms Sinclair said.
Books were also donated and a parish morning tea raised $1600.
According to Ms Sinclair 10 boxes of shoes and books were filled and sent to Sacred Heart earlier this month.
TNT Express transported them while 5 Star Self Storage supplied the boxes,The most commonly used special programmed for social science in asic cheerleading shoes, sunglasses, cheap shoes, and cheap belts both free of charge, to support the cause a local surf shop also donated a box of thongs.
